CBRN uses the continuous-point-source Gaussian plume with Pasquill-Gifford (Briggs rural) σ-coefficients; the shaded region is the true isopleth where ground-level concentration meets the hazard threshold, giving the downwind hazard distance and protective-action corridor. Operator endurance combines a homeostatic sleep-pressure process (rising with hours awake, paid down by sleep) with a circadian process (evening peak, ~05:00 trough) to a cognitive-effectiveness score, reaction-time and error-risk estimate. Both support protective-action / rest decisions only.
