Nodes whose sole loss removes a critical load — prime hardening / N+1 candidates.

The graph is a real directed dependency model: an arrow from a supplier to a dependent means the dependent needs it. A node fails when the number of its failed suppliers exceeds its redundancy (N+1 nodes survive one loss). Knocking out a node propagates the cascade to a fixed point; criticality is computed by simulating each node's individual removal and measuring the resulting cascade size. Single points of failure are the non-redundant nodes whose loss reaches a critical load.
